The Bydand logo and name
The Bydand (BY-dind) logo is based on a Celtic eternity knot, inspired by St. Patrick’s Day and Irish and Scottish carving art.
According to the Scottish National Dictionary, Bydand is the motto of the Gordon family and the regimental motto and crest of the Gordon Highlanders. Translations of Bydand include “abiding” and “steadfast”.
The Bydand name and logo pay tribute to Don’s Irish and Scottish ancestry. They’re also especially fitting since Don’s middle name is Patrick and his birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day.
